Shared Metacognition in a Community of Inquiry

The article begins with a review of the shared metacognition construct and its function within Community Inquiry theoretical framework. primary focus is role learners to take responsibility control for monitoring managing learning in community inquiry. Pragmatic challenges are explored through an analysis recent research discussion implementation issues. It emphasized that shaped by teaching presence (planning, facilitation, direction instruction) overlap cognitive operationalized phases Practical model (problem defining, exploration, integration, resolution). manuscript concludes potential future associated use quantitative questionnaire.
